OK, this isn't the most stylish thing I've sewn, but our close friends' son Solomon is turning two, and he's obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine. We have a store-bought gift wrapped and ready to go for his birthday party tomorrow, but today I had the idea of making him something Thomas-y as well. It was easy enough to whip up this pillow and blanket without a pattern. I put a zipper on the pillow so the cover can be washed, and I made the blanket kid-size (24" x 24") so he can carry it around should he so wish. The printed fabric is flannel, and the red fabric is Soft and Comfy. Happy Birthday Solomon!
Update: Solomon loved his blanket and pillow! It was very heartwarming to see him bend down and hug the pillow and blanket with a look of pure happiness on his face.
